Goodbye to Mattie, Ellie, and Mowgli!

Today I say my goodbye to three animal friends. I'll be seeing them next month, so it's not "forever" goodbye. I've spent two weeks with my furry friends, and enjoyed every moment!
In the last two weeks you have read of life from their perspective. It's fitting you should hear from them as I pack my bags!

From Mattie:  Since I'm the "senior" member of the pack, it's fitting I should speak first. Auntie M is nice! I love it when she brushes me and tells me I'm beautiful! I actually like it when Auntie M sings to us. Not sure Mowgli the feline approves, but usually Auntie M sings when she's in the kitchen, which means a meal is on the way! But there's no one quite like our owners. We have that special bond, don't you know. They're coming home today! (I may even stay awake to say hello!!)

From Ellie:  I'm afraid I may have come across as a troublemaker to you folks. I'm not. I just enjoy sitting out front, watching the world go by! Yes, I do get "vocal" when people walk by, especially if they have their canines with them! To some I'm simply saying hello. To others I'm giving a warning.  But no canine is better with children than I am. I usually run and get one of my stuffed toys to show off and share whenever a little person is around! Auntie M has been good to us. But she doesn't like to walk me when it's raining and windy out. I've tried to tell her that I don't mind, but I guess she does. Mattie's right. Auntie M sings, especially in the mornings. Some of the songs I like, but just as often I walk out of the room when she's vocalizing.  (Sigh!) But yes- our owners are coming home today! Thanks for brushing my coat each day, the walks, and the food, Auntie M. - and goodbye!  Hello Mama and Daddy!

The "Oh God, she's singing again" look!
From Mowgli:  I think Auntie M and I have made peace. She no longer tries to brush me. She still calls me that silly name (Kitty Witty), but I'm getting use to that. She brought her granddaughter over a while back. I don't know that child, and absolutely refused to come out to play or eat while the little one was here! Who knows. I've heard that some children will pull a cat's tail! Auntie M assured me I was purrrfectly safe, but I was taking no chances. I've given up (for now) bringing Auntie M any gifts, alive OR dead! She does sing to us. Usually, when that happens I meow my discontent and walk (or run) out of the room. Outside of that, we seem to get along o.k.!  Now,  I hear from the canines our owners are coming home today! The female owner and I have a special bond, so I'm really looking forward to seeing her again! I know Auntie M will be back around Thanksgiving!  Until then I'll take lots of cuddle time from my female owner!! Goodbye Auntie M, Hello Mama!!

From Auntie M:  Mattie, Ellie and I have a pretty special  long time bond. We've been around each other a lot~ Mowgli and I are just now starting to get comfortable with each other. I'll be seeing them again in November, so looking forward to new stories from them!

To quote  Mowgli "Have a PURRRRFECTLY wonderful day!"
