Marcy's Animal Blog- Guinness The Airedale!!

My name is Guinness! Auntie M says I'm an interesting character. She thinks of me as wise, mature, and laid back!

But with close observation, she sees I can "give it out" as well as take it. Often times it's me who initiates the horsing around! My owners have assured Auntie M that even though it sounds brutal (like fighting), it's all in fun!

My "singing" stance!

The other day Auntie M went out for a quick errand. On her return, I sang/howled a welcome as she unlocking the door! I was greeting her with a "song"! The first time she heard this howl was when a neighbor was walking his dog in front of the house. I do have the lungs!! Now, Auntie M sings, especially in the morning! Not sure what I think of that! But then, we can't all have beautiful Airedale voices, can we?!

Yesterday she encouraged me to fetch a stick. I did get it, but decided that eating it rather than retrieving was a good idea!

I am a gentleman when it comes to manners. I don't rush the door as soon as it's opened  if Auntie M says not to. I readily come when called, and don't need to be asked twice to "sit" for a treat.

I  LOVE  naps, often finding a pillow to rest my weary head! But no matter what I'm doing, there is one word that will spurn me to action. The word "OUTSIDE" is the catalyst for movement!

I enjoy being brushed, though I'm not fond of getting my beard brushed. As you can see by my profile picture,  Auntie M eventually did get me fluffed and puffed! Here you see at least my coat and legs look good!

I love running in the back yord and playing outdoors with Zinc. I'm anxious for my Owner family to come home. But I'm eating good, getting the attention deserving of an Airedale, so life is good!

From Auntie M: I'm so enjoying getting to know these two unique characters! They are funny, affectionate, and easy to care for!  Next you'll be hearing from the curious and some what rambunctious Zinc!
