Marcy's Animal Blog- A Canine Christmas!

How each Canine (and yes, Feline) celebrate the holidays depends on their owner, and yes, what they will put up with!  While my attempts to dress Sir Dudley in ANYTHING resembling a holiday outfit has been to no avail, he was some what willing to pose with a holiday stocking and his favorite bone.

I actually got a photo of  Sir Dudley with a holiday pillow before he let me know he had enough!

Now, I'm not one to give up easily! So, I caused a certain amount of humiliation to Mr. Sir Dudley!

His reaction?

A few other Canines I know are more willing to put up with those types of shenanigans.

Too cute- sorry West Coast Kenny, I had to show it again!

Bella Luna is a bit more tolerant than Sir Dudley!

The bottom line with our furry friends is not what's in the package, or stocking, or sitting under the tree. Most are simply happy with a "special" treat, to be with us and included in the activities. Happily, they don't look at the price tag, nor care much if they only receive one gift. A loving lap, a pat on the head, perhaps a little bite of Christmas ham, and maybe a walk is special enough.

I will quote West Coast Kenny. "My Christmas wish is that every Canine and Feline have a warm, safe, loving place to lay their head!"

Bella Luna as a baby, sleeping safe and sound.

Moglie the mighty hunter!

Dame Mattie- the wonderful old lady!

Otto napping with my Granddaughter Payton

Ellie resting in her favorite spot- the front yard!

Zinc- with his toy as a pacifier!

Guinness looks SO peaceful!

Ah- the life of Sir Dudley!

Napping with a friend is the best!

To continue Kenny's quote"...And may each have as loving of an owner as Mama Phyllis!"

To all you Animal lovers, may you have a wonderful Holiday, a Merry Christmas, and the company of a wonderful furry friend or two!
